Leroy House, Newport, R.I.

Located in the historic Ochre Point district of Newport, this residence echoes its Gilded Age surroundings by incorporating Palladian symmetry and classical decorative language in a structure that at its core is intended to appeal to comfortable multi-generational family living. It is designed in the Colonial Revival style, distinguished and traditional in its bearing, timeless and familiar in its articulation of a formula instantly recognizable to devotees of America’s architectural heritage. The clients, a husband and wife, are part of a deep-rooted Rhode Island family firmly established in New England.
