Originally a garage for a car, the building underwent a total transformation in appearance and purpose for owners who wanted to renovate it and use the space as a gathering commons for neighbors and passers-by. Reframed with clear western fir, the interior features exposed stud walls and ceiling rafters, yet remains warm and inviting at the same time. Attendees, from local friends to complete strangers, are welcome to come in, pour coffee or refreshments and sit outside on the rear deck to socialize overlooking Vineyard Sound. Hence the clubhouse name, as appropriate as it is without confusion: “The Drop By.”
